Barry & Loewy LLP is representing Austin Monthly Magazine in a lawsuit against Austin Magazine. Austin Monthly Magazine is a popular and widely-circulated magazine that has been published in Austin since 1993. The suit alleges that in an attempt to confuse the public, and carve into Austin Monthly Magazine's readership base, the publishers of Austin Magazine designed their magazine to look substantially similar to Austin Monthly Magazine. In doing so, they are infringing on Austin Monthly Magazine's trademark, trade name and logo, and tortiously interfering with Austin Monthly Magazine's business relationships.
