Barry & Loewy LLP represent the family of an Austin man who was killed by a large commercial truck while walking his bicycle across the street. The 18-wheeler struck the pedestrian as he was walking his bicycle in the crosswalk with the right of way. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Austin Police Department. The trucking company has been involved in numerous other accidents (some involving fatalities) over the past year.
Barry & Loewy LLP is seeking millions of dollars in compensatory and punitive damages for the family of the deceased Austin man. The case is set for trial in February 2008 in the District Court of the Western District of Texas, Austin Division.
