Adam J. Loewy

Adam Loewy is a personal injury trial lawyer. He devotes his career to representing Texans who have been seriously injured or killed due to the wrongful actions of others. His passion lies in helping people put their lives back together after a traumatic event and obtaining justice for them.

Adam’s practice focuses on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. He also represents individuals involved in business disputes. He does all of these cases on a contingency fee basis because he believes that his firm should only be compensated if it wins for its clients.

Adam has been recognized as one of the top personal injury lawyers in the country. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is a select group of lawyers who have settled a case for over $1 million dollars. Less than 1% of lawyers in the entire country are members of this distinguished Forum.

Adam started his own law firm one year after graduating from the University of Texas School of Law. He then joined up with his good friend, Carl R. Barry, and formed Barry & Loewy LLP in April 2006. In just three years, Barry & Loewy LLP has recovered tens of millions of dollars in actual settlements for its clients.

Equally important, Adam is very committed to his clients and has developed meaningful friendships with each person he has represented. He considers each client a lifelong friend and works extremely hard to achieve the best possible results in every case.

In addition to helping people in his legal practice, Adam gives his time and money to charitable organizations in the Austin community.

Select Prior Cases

  • Negotiated a $1,500,000 settlement for an Austin family whose son was tragically shot and killed by an Austin police officer. The City of Austin terminated the officer after the incident.

  • Negotiated a $565,000 settlement for an Austin man who was involved in a life-altering motorcycle accident. The man was riding his motorcycle on Bee Caves Road when a car made an unsafe left turn and slammed into him. The man suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis and required extensive surgery. The net recovery to the Austin man was $371,000.

  • Lead counsel in a breach of contract and fraud trial resulting in a $262,500 verdict for a Bay City man. The man had been swindled out of an employment compensation agreement entitling him to 5% of a real estate deal. After a five-day trial in New Braunfels, the jury awarded the Bay City man $262,500.00.

  • Negotiated a confidential settlement for a San Antonio man who developed a software program for a publicly-traded NASDAQ company.
